The admission process
The Single Admission System for Chilean universities of the Council of Rectors and attached universities is an integrated, simultaneous, national, transparent, objective, dynamic and annual process, coordinated by the DEMRE and used as a method of selection for the universities of the Council of Rectors and private ones attached to the System.
The admission process is a system that is characterized by being:
All the universities that make up the CRUCH and the private universities attached to the System participate. Thus, a unique selection system is set up for admission to these institutions, with a standard regulation applicable to all participants, which avoids the repetition of procedures and which translates into a more efficient and lower cost allocation for candidates and students. universities
Each stage of the admission process is performed synchronously for all participants.
The University Selection Test (PSU) is applied throughout the entire national territory, for which logistics has been designed that allows anyone who wishes to take it to access it. There is a network of admission secretariats throughout the country to serve the applicants, facilitating the completion of procedures related to the admission process.
The System is governed by regulations that are public knowledge, since the national community is informed and published on this website and the CRUCH Admission System page, before the start of the admission process.
All applicants are subjected to the same procedures under the same conditions.
The PSU test battery is built based on multiple-choice questions, which allows for a unique correction pattern.
The proofreading is carried out utilizing computational procedures under strict security standards to ensure that there is no manipulation of the data contained in the answer sheets.
The assignment of selection scores is done through a set of statistical-mathematical procedures and methods.
All selection antecedents are transformed into a common standard score scale, which allows them to be compared with each other.
The selection is made according to the entry requirements and weights previously established by each university for their respective careers.
The admission process, in its entirety, is under permanent evaluation, improvement, and readjustment.
The battery of tests that configures the admission process is applied only once a year to all those enrolled, and there is no possibility of rendering it extemporaneously.
